TOWN OF NEWBURGH
NOTICE OF ADOPTION
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on the 11th day of June, 2018, the Town Board of the Town of Newburgh in the County of Orange, State of New York, adopted Local Law No. 9 of 2018 entitled “A Local Law Amending Chapter 104 Entitled ‘Schedule of Fees’ of the Code of the Town of Newburgh: Electronic Message Display Signs Special Use Permit Fees.”
The purpose and effect of the Local Law are to amend the provisions of the Town of Newburgh Code’s Schedule of Fees Chapter to provide for an application fee of $150 per sign for special use permit applications to the Planning Board for Electronic Message Display Signs and to set an initial escrow charge requirement for Planning Board consultant costs of $500, except if the application is designated as a Type II action requiring no environmental assessment form, $1,000 plus $500 per sign, so that the total initial escrow charge will be the same whether or not a determination is required under the State Environmental Quality Review Act, the Code already providing for an additional $1,000 escrow deposit if a short environmental assessment form is required to be submitted to the Planning Board.
A public hearing on the adoption of this Local Law was held on the 11h day of June, 2018. The Town Board has determined it is in the best interest of the Town to adopt this Local Law.
