March:
Made request for Hotel Motel tax under Home Rule to State Legislature and Senate.
Approved Chadwick Lake Master Plan.
Entered “Geese Peace” program with Orange County to control geese problem.
Entered into contract with “Bid Net” allowing the Town or advertise bids on the Internet.
May:
Town Code placed on the internet by General Code.
Passed a Public Entertainment law regulating conditions and who could apply for sponsoring a Carnival in the Town.
June:
Agreement reached with City of Newburgh in reference to sewer moratorium.
Step program instituted for part time employees.
Bid and issued contract for installation of telemetry system for water distribution, saving cost of telephone lines and making the system more efficient.
Created Greenshire Way Road District.
Bid for completion of the trail around Chadwick Lake.
September:
Made Resolution adopting law allowing Citizens to submit ethics complaints direct to the Ethics Board without Town Board referral.
Town looks into fingerprinting of employees with Department of Criminal Justice System.
Adoption of Master Plan.
Purchase of new state of the art docks for Chadwick Lake.
Town Hall Expansion Proceeds.
December:
New street lighting installed Route 32 and Route 300.
