Scott Manley has been a Town of Newburgh resident for over 40 years.  He raised two sons, Josh and Dylan in the Town.
 
Originally appointed to the Town Board in August, 2015, Elected in November of 2015 for a four year term and in November of 2019 was re elcted for another four year term. 
 
Since July 2017 is also the Deputy Supervisor 
 
Scott attended Newburgh Schools and Graduated from Newburgh Free Academy and went on to Orange County Community College. In 1983 he was appointed to the Town of Newburgh Police Department. In 1993 he was promoted to Detective, and in 1995 to Sergeant where he spent the rest of his career until retirement in 2008.
 
He is past president of the Newburgh Jaycees, Better known to the locals as the organization that ran the Newburgh Walkathons for many years. While President he received top President of the quarter from the New York State Jaycees every quarter and top President of the year.  In 1987 he was named one of the Outstanding Young Men of America.
 
Scott also spent many years on the Board of the Town of Newburgh PBA, first as Secretary then President. While his kids were involved with activities he was there getting involved, From coaching a sons Baseball Team to Scout Leader, to Class Parent and active member of the Parent Teacher Organization at Fostertown School.
 
Presently he is an active member of the New York State Retired Officers Association, The Fraternal order of Police, Mid-hudson Lodge 188, Orange County Shields, and a Member of the NAACP Newburgh/Highland Falls Branch.
