Letter from the Commissioner
  There’s one way to escape the economic conditions facing area residents – come and enjoy the recreational experiences at Chadwick Lake Park.
 The four-mile trail is completely resurfaced; benches and gazebos are available along the way to provide beautiful views and abundant wildlife experiences.  This is nature at its best!
Our youth and adult programs continue to grow, softball, volleyball, soccer, baseball and basketball to name a few.  Check for dates and times.   These programs fill quickly so sign up early to reserve your spot.
 Senior citizen overnight trips continue to be a success and we are planning three in 2010.  The Golden Age Club holds their meetings on Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m.  Come socialize with the Club members and make sure you check the Senior Calendar of Events printed monthly by the Recreation Department.
 Looking for a ride?  Dial-A-Bus and Senior Transportation is at your service.  We transport throughout the Town from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.  Call 564-6084 to get more information and find out if we can fulfill your transportation needs.
 For 2010, an arboretum with a beautiful gazebo is scheduled for construction in late spring.  The list of events in the Park has continued to increase.  Keep a look out for a fall fair and possibly an outdoor movie night with the Boy Scouts.
 Please, utilize the abundance of activities offered by the Town’s Park and Recreation Department.  You’ll find that it’s an inexpensive way to spend quality time with friends and family.
