Dupont-Stauffer Landfill Survey

As recently reported in local newspapers, State environmental and health officials are looking at potential health effects on residents in neighborhoods near the Dupont-Stauffer factory landfill site in the City of Newburgh. The site is bounded by South Street and South Dix Avenue and is close to the Town’s boundary with the City. The landfill has not been remediated and the land and stream still contain large amounts of wastes which the State is now looking to address through removal and capping.

Town residents with information regarding ailments or health impacts which they suspect may be linked to their or their families residing or working near the Dupont Stauffer landfills can use this special e-mail address to notify the Town: dupontinfo@hvc.rr.com
